- Can GEMA send out an email to promote my business?
GEMA does not promote members' ongoing business endeavors. We will not respond to these types of requests. See: GEMA EMAIL BLAST POLICY
- Can GEMA send out an email to invite others to my performance? On occasion, GEMA will distribute an email notice on behalf of a member if a member is premiering a creative work at a special event and members are offered significant discounts or very low cost or free tickets to attend. GEMA does not promote ongoing business endeavors of members though. See: GEMA EMAIL BLAST POLICY
- Can GEMA get me a job? GEMA is not a job search service. Members can request informational interviews only to explore career directions with other members through GEMACONNECT but anyone participating in GEMACONNECT must follow the procedures and protocol outlined.
- Can GEMA give me contact info for another member? GEMA considers protecting members' privacy one of its most important responsibilities. We do not give out member contact information to people who do not know each other. On occasion, GEMA will connect friends who may have lost touch if the member being sought has given us permission to do so.
- How can I get more involved in GEMA? GEMA is an all-volunteer organization. We need your help! Getting involved is the best way to meet other members and expand your network of friends and colleagues in the industry. Please consider thoughtfully how you would like to get involved and the time commitment you can make. Then go to How Can I help GEMA? and submit your information. www.gema-hoyas.org/help.cfm
- Can GEMA help me get a summer internship? GEMA no longer sponsors its own internships but we do refer internship opportunities to be posted at Georgetown University. Please contact:
