"GEMA Goes to the Ballgame"
GEMA held its first fundraising event for its soon-to-be-launched philanthropy initiative in media and entertainment in Los Angeles on September 12, 2004. The new owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers (and new Angelenos) Frank (C'75) and Jamie (I'75) McCourt generously hosted an afternoon in their owner's box at Dodger stadium for about forty fellow Hoyas. The L.A. Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals provided an exciting gathering for all. A committee tasked with developing GEMA's philanthropic programs, headed by Stephen Dormer (L'95,) will soon be announcing details about this important part of GEMA's mission.
