Welcome to GEMASTUDENTS!
Just for current undergraduate, graduate or law students, this area serves the needs of the on-campus members of the Georgetown University community who want to become a part of the entertainment and media industries. GEMASTUDENTS is designed to help you find out details about the GEMA events available to you, entertainment and media-related events going on at Georgetown, and what other students are doing in this area designed for students, by students.
The GEMA Externship Program, held in conjunction with the Career Centers at Georgetown University, offers GU undergraduate seniors, business, law and other graduate students interested in pursuing a career in entertainment and media a chance to jump-start their careers. For one week during spring break, students visit Los Angeles or New York City to meet with professionals for informational interviews, tours of headquarter operations of major entertainment and media companies, and to learn a great deal about “the business,” and how to search for that first job.
We are currently accepting applications. Click here to apply!
