Welcome to GEMASTUDENTS!

GEMA is committed to developing students on and off campus. The most important GEMA Student Programs we have annually are the Externship Program, Alumni Career panel, and GEMA Rocks.

The GEMA Externship Program, held in conjunction with the Career Centers at Georgetown University, offers GU undergraduate seniors, business, law and other graduate students interested in pursuing a career in entertainment and media a chance to jump-start their careers. For one week during spring break, students visit Los Angeles or New York City to meet with professionals for informational interviews, tours of headquarter operations of major entertainment and media companies, and to learn a great deal about “the business,” and how to search for that first job.

The GEMA Alumni Career Panel brings together alumni in entertainment professions from sports, business, law, and content to discuss their careers and andwer questions. Panelists rotate every year, but we've had representatives from ABC, the WNBA, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, Howstuffworks.com, Washington Times, and many more.

Learn more about the GEMA Program at the upcoming Entertainment Alumni Career panel.
